Cheryl is assistant communications director for the Recovery Accountability and Transparency Board, an independent government agency established to oversee the $840 billion economic recovery program passed by Congress and signed into law by President Obama in February 2009.

Cheryl is a member of the Gridiron Club and Foundation, which was founded in 1885 and is the oldest and most prestigious journalistic organization in Washington, D.C., representing the top journalists from newspapers, wire services, news magazines and broadcast networks. She was Gridiron Historian from 2003 to 2009.
